The Aquasystem VAV100 vertical pressure tank is built to improve performance, comfort, and durability in pressurised Sanitary Water and Booster System installations. In many buildings, water demand changes constantly throughout the day—showers, taps, irrigation solenoids, washdown points, and appliance cycles all create rapid fluctuations in flow and pressure. When a system has no properly sized pressure vessel, these fluctuations often cause the pump to start and stop repeatedly (short cycling). Short cycling increases motor temperature, stresses contactors and pressure switches, accelerates mechanical wear, and can lead to unstable water pressure at the point of use. The VAV100 solves these issues by acting as a hydraulic buffer, storing a reserve of pressurised water and smoothing out pressure changes.
